Confessions of a Dog Photographer

 
So this happened.
And, it was so much FUN!

Actually, it came on the heels of me deciding that….
I need to have more fun.

Somewhere along the way, just like everything else in life it seems, we get way too serious. *I* get way too serious. Not sure if it is from my perfectionism personality traits…some weird belief system… or maybe even from my nursing days where things were so serious… life and deathy type serious. Whatever the cause, I seem to have lost my sense of fun along the way. Been in my left brain for far too long.

I have been thinking about my new ‘Why’ for dog photography…the direction I want to go in and what things I want to be creating with my imagination and my camera. And I must confess that FUN and lightheartedness is the new mantra. That I dig doing this silly stuff with dogs. It is pet photography after all. Dogs are the silliest, playful and lighthearted creatures. Why should my time with them be anything but straight up play and fun?
