Murphy… a sweet chocolate lab from my old neighbourhood. I loved seeing Murphy on walks – he was also Boomer’s ‘bestie’ in the hood and the two of them were quite smitten with each other. The gorgeous redhead Scarlett is Murphy’s fave person in the world… and this sweet girl has a Canadian-Scottish accent that is clearly one of the cutest things I have ever heard.

Me (for the third time): “Scarlett, what is your dog’s name again?”

Scarlett: “Mur – fay! Mur – fay!  Muuur – Faaaay!”

I. Love. it.

Goodbye Murphy! I think about you roaming the countryside of Scotland now, and it makes me smile.
